I don’t always have the time to do extra fun things like this in the kitchen, but when I do… It’s so therapeutic & relaxing!
Ingredients:
-1/3 cup warm water (temperature as if you were giving a baby a bath. Too hot will kill the yeast)
-1 1/2 t. yeast
-1 egg
-2 egg whites
-2 T. raw honey
-1 1/2 t. avocado oil
-1/2 t. apple cider vinegar
-1/4 t. salt
-2 1/4 c. @bobsredmill Paleo Baking Flour (or just 1 1/2 c. almond flour & 3/4 c. arrowroot flour)
Topping Ingredients:
-Olive oil
-Garlic powder
-Veggies cut into whatever shapes you’d like! I use cilantro, red onion & cherry tomatoes
Directions:
1. Set the oven to 400°F.
2. Add the warm water & the yeast to a bowl. Let the yeast sit in the water for 2-3 minutes to make sure that it is rising/expanding.
3. Add the egg, egg whites, honey, oil, apple cider vinegar, salt, & whisk together.
4. Add flour & mix. The dough will not resemble typical dough since there is no gluten in it. It will look like pancake batter.
5. Spoon dough into a greased 8x8 baking dish.
6. Spread olive oil on top & sprinkle on garlic powder. Add desired veggie shapes.
7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top! Enjoy!
