Is your child picky? In my experience, as they see you eat a variety of foods, they’re more likely to taste and try different foods!
Balanced Snack Ideas:
Dried Apricots and Almonds- Try different nuts & different dried fruit, and see if they like any of them. @hukitchen also has chocolate covered almonds that are delicious! Give those a try!
Kiwi & Cashews- You can also get @hukitchen chocolate covered cashews!
Nut Butter and Banana Toast- Sourdough bread has minimal ingredients and is delicious, there are even gluten-free recipes out there, and grain-free recipes. Also, if you are grain-free, my favorite grain-free bread companies are @baseculture bread and @awgbakery .
Hummus and Veggies: Serve hummus with carrots, celery, &/or bell peppers. My favorite hummus brands are Hope Hummus & @cava Hummus.
Cheese Cubes and Grapes- Buy a block of cheese and cut it up into cubes!
Shredded or Sliced Chicken with a Fruit Bowl- Mix berries, kiwi, and pineapple. You can even drizzle the fruit bowl with a little lime and honey for an extra flavor boost!
Blueberries and Pistachios.
Peaches and Cheese Cubes.
Crackers and Nut Butter- Almond butter, peanut butter, sunflower seed butter, and cashew butter are some ideas!
Roasted Sweet Potato Wedges and Guacamole- You can also buy @jacksonschips .
Celery and Tuna- Grab a can of Tuna like @wildplanetfoods tuna and mix it with avocado mayo. Some avocado mayo brands are @primalkitchenfoods & @chosenfoods . You can also mix in diced green apples or diced pickles.
Boiled Eggs, Orange Slices, and Grapes.
Almonds and Cheese Cubes.
Celery and Nut Butter- Almond butter, sunbutter etc.
Yogurt, Fruit, and Granola- You can buy plain Greek yogurt or dairy-free yogurt if you’re dairy-free, and sweeten it with your own natural sweetener like maple syrup or even just fruit alone adds sweetness. Some dairy-free yogurts I like are @coyo_organic and @culinayogurt . Some granola brands I like are @purely_elizabeth and for grain-free @larkellenfarm and @paleonola . Your child may only want plain yogurt or strawberry yogurt alone. You can also serve cereal on top like @eatlovebird or @sevensundayscereal .
Apples and Nut Butter.
Crackers & hummus- @flackerscrackers & @simplemills are great.
Boiled Eggs & Berries.
